How to create a value filter with one or more single condition?

A new value filter with one or more single condition can be created from the FILTERS pane or within a report. Filters created from the Filters pane are to be used inside the report to filter out responses matching conditions based on the answers given in one or more questions.

Another type of value filter is One Multi Condition Filter. If you wish to create or read more about One Multi Condition filter, Click Here.

In this example we will show how to create a filter with one or more single condition, from the FILTERS pane.

  • Navigate to Filter (1) at the top. Then Click the Green Plus Button (2):

  • Now you may choose the type of filter you would like to create.
Value filter: Used to filter out responses not matching conditions based on the answers given on one or more questions.
Interval filter: Used to filter out responses not matching conditions based on the same time the response was given.

Choose Value Filter  and click Next.

Create one or more single-condition filters or Create one multi condition filter. An example of the selected value filter will appear beneath. In this example we will create a One or more single-condition filter.

In the next window we will define the filter condition.

If you have respondent data in your quest, you may choose to use the filter on respondent data as well.

  • Click Questions  and choose the question you want to use the filter on.

  • After choosing the question we will define the operator logic of the filter*.
In this example we want to create one separate filter by selecting None of.
in the drop-down- menu and then checking the tick-box for Promoters before clicking Next.

  • After clicking Next, you will be asked to name your filter regarding promoters, type in desired name and click Ok.

*You may choose from a dropdown menu with 4 different operator logics when using filter on all question types except Open Answer and miscellaneous question types:
Any of: Will create one separate filter per selection that groups together all respondents that
have answered the given alternative.
None of: Will create one separate filter per selection that groups together all respondents that
have not answered the given alternative.
Answered: Will group together all respondents that have answered the given question.
