How to import questions from file

This feature is particularly useful when you have a large number of questions to include in your survey, as it enables you to efficiently organize and structure the questions in a spreadsheet before importing them into the Quest.

In Questionnaire, you have the convenience of importing questions from either an Excel- file or another quest. This article is regarding importing Questions from an Excel-file. If you wish to read how to import from another Quest, Click here.

• In Questionnaire, click the Add-button followed by Import Questions.

• Select From file and click Next.

• Click Download Microsoft Excel Worksheet with examples of all question types to see how you need to build the file.

In the Example file you will see that all questions have a code above the question text, for example ##SSM##. This code specifies the question type.

You will find all the different codes that can be used in the columns H and I in the example file.

• Build the excel file using the Question codes, with the Question text below followed by the alternatives in the next column. Example:
  
• Upload the file and click Next.

• In the next window a preview of the added Questions and alternatives will appear, here you may also change between other Question Types compatible with the Question. Make sure all looks good and click Add.

• The Questions will be visible under Questionnaire straight away.
