What will happen if you change the retention period in a published quest where you have received answers already?

When you change the retention period in a published quest, the new retention period will only apply to new responses. The retention period that was originally set when respondents gave their consent will be maintained for their data.

For example:

  1. You publish a quest with a 7-day retention period.
  2. You receive 10 responses. These responses are subject to the 7-day retention period, as this is what the respondents consented to.
  3. You then decide to change the retention period to 14 days.
  • The initial 10 responses will still be deleted after 7 days because the respondents consented to this period.
  • Any new responses received after changing the retention period will be subject to the new 14-day retention period. Respondents will be informed of and consent to this updated retention period, and their personal data will be deleted after 14 days.
